We had our Zumbathon fundraiser at the first part of this month, and before the month has passed, we want to share our success.
Wisconsin Food Forests’ (WFF) first annual Zumbathon® was co-hosted by Emma Rose Health Enterprises, LLC. Coach Emma chose to host this event benefitting WFF to honor her late father, an avid forester and organic farmer who passed away a year ago (on the first day of spring). He cherished the earth and, although leaving big shoes to fill, left a minimal footprint in nature. His legacy lives on in the tens of thousands of trees he planted, the forests he managed and the many fruit trees he grew in his lifetime.
Our Zumbathon was a delightful success with our raffle, silent auction, dancing, and snack bar. The edible landscape/sustainability and Zumba communities came together for fun, friendship, and dancing.

We raised $1500 at the Zumbathon. These funds will be used to purchase plants for a couple of our spring projects: the Eastmorland neighborhood food forest in Madison and another food forest in Wisconsin Dells. A big WFF thank you to the many people who made this uplifting event possible.
